Remember that the wedding cake is the next big star in a wedding next to the bride and the groom. The wedding cake makes a statement to all those present at the wedding. It is important to select a cake that looks and tastes different from all the other cakes for all the guests to remember the wedding long time after it is over. This is why the families of the couple and the couple themselves take great pains and spend a lot of time in choosing the right wedding cake for the reception. The best way to create an impression on the wedding day is to select a cake that is different from all the others; a cake that is truly unique.

Unique wedding cakes can show the creativity and artistry of the bakers and also display the personalities of the bride and the groom. Since the wedding cake is the centerpiece of the wedding event, it should reflect the couple’s taste and style. Many young couples order these unique cakes for their wedding and order designs that can show their family heritage or their passions through them. These cakes can be designed unique in such a way that their fillings and flavors are also different from the regular wedding cakes.

White colored wedding cakes are the traditional choice but the unique cakes can be colored anything. White butter cream was the traditional filling used in white cakes but unique cakes can be filled with lemon mouse filling or pineapple. The flavors too can be as diverse and different. The focus here is to make a unique cake and so anything different from the conventional can be used. Even the designs can be experimented with, like using the design of an airplane for a pilot’s wedding or the design of a baseball bat for a baseball fan’s wedding. The choice is limitless and it is only the creativity and imagination of both the baker and the couple, which can set the limit.
